the-voice-2012-final-three-announced

On Monday night’s episode of The Voice 2012, we learned the results of America’s latest votes and who will be competing in the finals next week.

America decided they wanted to hear more from Terry McDermott, Cassadee Pope and Nicholas David. That means Trevin Hunte’s journey on The Voice has ended.

Before we got to see any results, we got an exhausting look back at the performances from the night before then more filler as Carson spent some time asking the coaches some pointless questions.

And since no singing competition show will ever get the results show format right in a nice, tight little 30-minute spot, we are treated with duet from Cassadee and Terry.

And just when you think there can’t possibly be anymore pointlessness,  there’s a performance by last season’s Juliet Simms, singing her single Wild Child.

Finally, it’s time for results. But first some more filler in the form of Carson asking the final four questions they don’t care about because they only want to know the results, like us.

The first person sent on to the finals is Terry McDermott from Team Blake.

Up next we get a dreadful performance by season 2′s country artist RaeLynn. Then Chris Mann. Are you still with me? I’m sorry this recap is so boring, but it’s beyond my control.

Back to the results. The next contestant sent on to the finals is Cassadee Pope. So that leaves Trevin Hunte and Nicholas David, which is just as I (and probably everyone else) expected.

And just when they know one of them is going home, they have to sing a Mariah Carey song. I’d be all, um, no! How do you expect me to sing when I’m only concerned about possibly going home!?

Back to the results. The final person through is Nicholas David. That means that it’s over for Trevin Hunte.

So here’s your final three, America: Terry McDermott, Cassadee Pope and Nicholas David . Who do you think has what it takes to take home The Voice season 3 title?
