The Voice 2012 T0p 10 became the Top 8 Tuesday night as two more artists were sent home based on the outcome of America’s votes.

At the start of the show we’re reminded of the great performances from Monday night with a flashback montage. Then we got notice that Cassadee Pope’s song from last night made it all the way to the No. 1 spot on iTunes. That’s pretty major.

Then we got a performance by Christina and her team. And finally, it was time to start finding out the results.

Carson calls up all the contestants and reveals that Team Cee Lo’s Nicholas David and Team Blake’s Cassadee Pope are safe.

After those brief results, Cassadee and Cody Belew team up with Rascal Flatts for a boring filler performance. Then its time for more results. Carson plays around a bit by asking the contestants some questions and then he finally gets to it.

The next two artists sent on to the Top 8 were Dez Duron from Team Christina and Cody Belew from Team Cee Lo.

And just like that, it’s back to more filler. Team Adam took to the stage to butcher perform Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” with their coach.

Back to the results. The next artist sent to safety was Team Adam’s Melanie Martinez. Then it’s commercial time and more filler performances.

And it’s time for the final round of results. The remaining six singers are called to the stage. The next sent on to next week’s show was Terry McDermott. And it occurs to me that of the four left on stage, I can only imagine ONE of those people leaving. What have you done, America?

The last two singers making it into the Top 8 are Team Cee Lo’s Tervin Hunte and Team Adam’s Amanda Brown. That means Team Adam’s Bryan Keith and Team Xtina’s Sylvia Yacoub have been eliminated.

I’m not exactly on board with those results, but that’s how it goes. I think Bryan should’ve stuck around a bit longer. Oh well. What did you think of the results?
