After weeks and  weeks of slaughtering American Idol in the ratings, The Voice 2012 is starting to slide.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the battle between American Idol and The Voice has shifted.  The Monday night performance show was down 52 percent this week from its first Monday show. And on Tuesday, the first results show of the season, it earned 8.4 million viewers and a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating. It was directly beaten by Dancing with The Stars.

Of course for NBC, The Voice is still a run-away hit. The ratings in no way put it in danger, it just should be noted that even after 11 seasons, American Idol can’t be counted out.
