Next week on The Voice 2012, things change as we shift to the Battle Rounds. And since The Voice is only in its second season, it’s picked up a lot of new fans. So NBC has been gracious enough to break down how the Battle Rounds work for new viewers and remind those returning from last season with a special Battle Rounds page.

The page reminds us:

  • Over four weeks, each coach must reduce his or her team from twelve artists to six by pitting them against each other in duet battles.
  • To prepare, each artist works with his or her coach and a celebrity advisor: Lionel Richie, Kelly Clarkson, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Alanis Morissette, Ne-Yo or Robin Thicke.
  • After watching their duos perform, each coach chooses who will move on to the live rounds.
  • The Live rounds begin April 2nd – and your vote helps decide who moves on.
