The Voice 2012 Battle Rounds Part 5 Recap: Down To The Wire
The Voice 2012 Battle Rounds continued Monday night and the coaches are only one night away from having completed their teams.
By Tuesday night, Christina, Adam, Blake and Cee Lo will have all of their slots filled and will then prepare their contestants for the knockout rounds. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take a look back at Monday night’s battles.
Alexis Marceaux vs. Daniel Rosa, “Whattya Want From Me.” This was kind of a painful battle if you ask me. Singing as a pair, they sounded kind of like a group of cats caught in an industrial fan. Which is odd because they both sound great individually. Something was just off this time. My Pick: I guess I’d pick Alexis if “neither” wasn’t an option? Cee Lo’s Pick: Daniel.
Brandon Mahone vs. Nicole Nelson, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” Brandon has a classic should sound and great control and a nice tone. Nicole was a bit shaky, but she still has a great voice. This was a good pairing. I’d pick Brandon. Adam’s Pick: Nicole.
Up next we got the little fast-forward montage where we get cheated out of several performances.
- Loren Allred vs. Brian Scartocci, “Need You Now.” Adam’s Pick: Lauren
- Ryan Jirovec vs. Cassadee , “Not Over You.” Blake’s Pick: Cassadee
- Joe Kirkland vs. Samuel Mouton, You Get What You Give.” Adam’s Pick: Joe
Devyn Deloera vs. Marissaann, “Free Your Mind.” I’m not sure why they aired this battle last. I guess they thought it was the best one of the night? I didn’t. I thought it sounded like Xtina’s slightly less talented little sisters trying to show up their bigger sister. It just sounded like a lot of shouting and trying to sound like Christina Aguilera. Meh. My Pick: Marissaann. Xtina’s Pick: Devyn. Blake goes in for the steal so Devyn is now on Team Blake.
So I was not on the same wave length as the coaches this episode. But whatever. Who were your favorites of the night?Subscribe for Free to The Voice spoilers & updates on Facebook, Email, or Twitter
