The Voice 2012 Artists Q&A: Angie Johnson

Do you know what tattoo Angie Johnson got after her 18th birthday? Or what her favorite song by her mentor Cee Lo Green is? Find those answers and more from The Voice 2012 contestant’s Q&A.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?
A: I would go to Nashville. I know I live there, but I’ve been away from home a lot with my military duties and The Voice. I’ve only been home for a few days here and there. So, I would go to my quaint little house in Nashville, wrap myself up in my fave blanket and veg on the couch for at least a week. And I’m thinking peanut butter fudge brownie ice cream would have to be involved.
The Voice 2012 Artsits Q&A: Jamar Rogers

Do you know Jamar Rogers thinks should play him in a movie? Or how he would describe his mentor Cee Lo? Find those answers and more about The Voice 2012 contestant in his Q&A from NBC.
The Voice 2012: Blind Auditions Part 3 Recap

The Voice 2012 continued the Blind Auditions round Monday night and Christina Aguilera, Adam Leving, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton are proving that they’re all taking a different approach to choosing their teams this season.
The coaches aren’t turning around for just anyone this season. Several times tonight only one or two coaches turned around for really good singers. And a couple times no one turned around. There were some great singers to make it through the Blind Auditions, however.
The Standouts
Sarah Golden. Even we got the “Blind Audition” treatment with the first contestant of the night. I was seriously thinking they wouldn’t show us her face because it wasn’t human or something. Or she just had one giant eyeball. I hope she didn’t get offended by how they treated that, because she wasn’t some hideous-looking person. So random. Anyway, she sounded great. She had a realness to her and a natural sound. Cee Lo and Adam both turned for her. She went with Cee Lo.
Pip. This kid is so cool he doesn’t need a last name. And I’m not even being sarcastic. I think I’m a fan. He’s this small little guy in a bow tie but when he sings, it’s this towering, suave stud. He’s a great representation of why The Voice works. All four coaches were interested in Pip. He went with Adam.

The Voice 2012 Artists Q&A: Angel Taylor

We bet you didn’t know Team Adam’s Angel Taylor has a tattoo on her wrist? Or what her favorite song by her mentor is? You can find out those answers and more about The Voice 2012 contestant in her Q&A straight from NBC.
1) If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? I’ve got such a love for Europe, the east coast, and the midwest. It’s such a hard toss up because I love all of those places for so many different reasons. But probably Europe, because its the most exotic of them all, and I haven’t been in a couple years. I’m dying to see Switzerland again, and visit France and London. And Sweden. Ah, just thinking about it makes me happy.
The Voice 2012: Blind Auditions Part 3 Tonight

The search for The Voice 2012 continues tonight with the Blind Auditions Part 3.
Thirteen contestants have made it through as Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton are working to build their teams for season 2. So far The Voice teams go like this:
- Team Adam: Angel Taylor, Kim Yarbrough and Tony Lucca.
- Team Christina: Chris Mann, Jesse Campbell, The Line and Lindsay Pavao.
- Team Blake: Gwen Sebastian, Jermaine Paul and RaeLynn.
- Team Cee Lo: Angie Johnson, Jamar Rogers and Juliet Simms.
So far it’s hard to tell who has the stronger team. I almost said Christina, but then I looked at Adam’s list. Then I decided Blake’s and Cee Lo’s teams were pretty strong as well. It’s really hard to say. Most of the talent so far is pretty even. Do you agree? Whose team do you think is the best so far?

Will The Voice Season 3 Air in the Fall?

After a huge showing in the ratings for the season 2 premiere, NBC is considering launching the next installment of The Voice this fall instead of early 2013.
The Wrap reports that since Christina Aguilera’s new contract has the star filming the third season during the months of September through December, the possibility of a fall premiere is very likely.
A spokesperson for NBC says the network has not decided if they’re going to air the show in the fall or not. Um, but with that kind of taping schedule, you’d have to air it in the fall. Some of the shows are live.
If The Voice Season 3 does air in the Fall it would go up against all the new and returning shows of the season, including Fox’s X Factor. That could be a very interesting ratings battle.
Speaking of ratings, The Voice has turned into NBC’s biggest ratings grabber. Sunday’s post-Super Bowl season premiere fetched a massive 37.7 million viewers while Monday’s numbers came in at 17. 7 million.
Christina Aguilera Signs On For Third Season of The Voice

NBC has signed Christina Aguilera on for the next season of The Voice.
So far, Christina is the only coach out of the four to sign a new deal. According to the Chicago Tribune, she signed for a whopping $10 million. An NBC insider said the plan is to bring back the other coaches — Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton – as well. So it looks like any holdout might be from the coaches themselves.
“We’re really pleased with the entire cast,” the insider said. “You look at ratings and it’s no accident.”
The coaches began forming their teams during the Blind Auditions earlier this week. The Voice airs next Monday at 8 pm ET.
