The Voice 2012 Top 8 Results Show Tonight

Last night on The Voice 2012, the Top 8 took to the stage to sing for America’s votes. So who did America love this week? We’ll be finding out later tonight. One thing we do know is that two people will be heading home.
So by the end of the night, we’ll have The Voice 2012 Top 6. Who do you think is going to stay and who do you think is going to go?
I think it’s safe to say that Amanda Brown is safe and I might say Cassadee Pope and Terry McDermott are as well. But as the numbers shrink so does my confidence in playing this guessing game. Two people has to go and it could seriously be anyone. According to our poll, our readers are telling us that Cassadee and Trevin Hunte are definitely safe, but Dez Duron and Melanie Martinez may not be. If Dez leaves the contest tonight, Christina’s team will be completely wiped out.
What do you think will happen tonight? What are you hoping happens tonight?
Check back in later tonight for the live results of The Voice 2012 and a full recap of the show later.
The Voice 2012 Top 8 Performances Recap: Anyone’s Game

The Voice 2012 Top 8 took the stage by storm Monday night, singing for America’s votes. This is a pretty solid Top 8, so America, you’ve got your work cut out for you with this voting thing.
As always, I weigh in with my own thoughts as I review each performance and assign the letter grade I think each deserved.
Amanda Brown, Someone Like You (Team Adam)
I really liked Amanda’s version of this song. Adele songs are way overdone on these singing shows, so this was a refreshing version and she killed it. She was totally in her element with the power-rock slant. Her vocals were there, her stage presence, all of it. Amanda will be in the finale, I’m sure. A+
Cody Belew, Somebody To Love (Team Cee Lo)
While I love the song choice (I’m a huge Queen fan) Cody couldn’t quite stack up to Freddie Mercury. And before anyone says he wasn’t trying to, it kind of sounded like he was from what he and Cee Lo were saying before the performance. It was a good performance, don’t get me wrong. He just doesn’t have that great big voice Freddie does. B+
Terry McDermott, Over (Team Blake)
It was a country song, but it didn’t exactly sound country. Terry still put his own self into it. He can pretty much singing anything with that smooth and clean voice. I feel like what Terry’s lacking a bit of a connection to his audience. I get a slightly arrogant vibe. But I might be wrong. What do you think? B+
Melanie Martinez, Too Close (Team Adam)
If every performance Melanie ever did sounded like this, she might not be one of my least favorite singers in the competition. Because this one was pretty decent. Actually, her last two I kind of liked. Now if she’d just ditch that hair! B+

The Voice 2012 Top 8 Performs Tonight

The Voice 2012 Top 8 hits the stage tonight and will again sing for America’s votes.
It’s getting down to the wire, so it’s more important than ever for fans to vote for their favorites. Bryan Keith and Sylvia Yacoub fans were stunned when the two of them were sent packing from the contest last week, so anything can happen.
With Sylvia leaving the show, that leaves coach Christina Aguilera with only one artist left. Could she be the first coach to have on team left at all after this week?
Also scheduled to perform tonight is 50 Cent. He will be perfuming along with the top 8 and coach Adam Levine.
The Top 8 — Team Adam: Amanda Brown and Melanie Martinez; Team Blake: Cassadee Pope and Terry McDermott; Team Christina: Dez Duron; and Team CeeLo: Cody Belew, Nicholas David and Trevin Hunte.
Be sure to check back here tonight for the live coverage of the performances and again later for a full recap of the The Voice 2012 Top 8 performances.
The Voice 2012: The Top 8 Group Interview

This week on The Voice 2012, the Top 8 was assembled as Bryan Keith and Sylvia Yacoub were eliminated.
After the elimination show, the somewhat sombre Top 8 sat down with Christina Milian to discuss their time on the show so far and address some questions that fans have been dying to hear the answers to. I’m wondering if they should do these post-show chats the day after elimination so the artists aren’t still mourning the losses of their fellow competitors and friends.
For example, you might be surprised to hear some of the singers’ most embarrassing moments, like falling off the stage and splitting heir pants during rehearsal.
They also talk about what its like to join their coaches and some very famous guest stars during the noncompetition performances.
Find out what else The Voice 2012 Top 8 had to say during the after-show video posted below. And we’ll be back on Monday night to watch the Top 8 perform. See you there!
The Voice 2012 Results Recap: The Top 8 Announced

The Voice 2012 T0p 10 became the Top 8 Tuesday night as two more artists were sent home based on the outcome of America’s votes.
At the start of the show we’re reminded of the great performances from Monday night with a flashback montage. Then we got notice that Cassadee Pope’s song from last night made it all the way to the No. 1 spot on iTunes. That’s pretty major.
Then we got a performance by Christina and her team. And finally, it was time to start finding out the results.
Carson calls up all the contestants and reveals that Team Cee Lo’s Nicholas David and Team Blake’s Cassadee Pope are safe.
After those brief results, Cassadee and Cody Belew team up with Rascal Flatts for a boring filler performance. Then its time for more results. Carson plays around a bit by asking the contestants some questions and then he finally gets to it.
The Voice 2012: Top 10 Results Show Tonight

Last night on The Voice 2012, the Top 10 took to the stage and turned out some great performances. So a lot like last week, anyone who goes home tonight is going to just feel weird. But it has to happen again. Two people will be heading home tonight. And it was all up to you, America.
So by the end of the night, we’ll have The Voice 2012 Top 8. Who do you think is going to stay and who do you think is going to go?
I think it’s safe to say that Trevin Hunte, Terry McDermott, Amanda Brown and Dez Duron are definitely safe. I hope Bryan Keith and Cassadee Pope are safe. Trying to figure out who isn’t safe gets a little hard to decide. I can’t figure out both contestants heading home, but I think one of them might be Sylvia Yacoub.
Check back in later tonight for the live results of The Voice 2012 and a full recap of the show later.
The Voice 2012 Top 10 Recap: Team Adam Shines

The Voice 2012 T0p 10 took to the stance Monday night and it was another good show. I must say, this season is really solid compared to the past two. It’s hard to grade anyway below a C and I’m pretty picky. I will say that Team Adam shined just a little brighter this time.
On this week’s performance show, the coaches had some help with some industry insiders, including Oscar and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson.
Sylvia Yacoub, Girl On Fire (Team Christina)
This was a good song choice for Sylvia. And I’m always a fan of contestants playing instruments, so it was nice to see her playing the piano. She seemed to lose herself a bit during the chorus, though. I’m not so sure she did enough to make her safe Tuesday night. The coaches loved her, but will America? I’m not so sure. B
Terry McDermott, Summer of ’69 (Team Blake)
Per usual, Terry’s voice was strong and crystal-clear. It’s truly effortless for him. But I think I might be getting bored with him. This was just a mid-level performance. He needs to pull out something epic at this point. He needs to have another moment to keep voters interested. A-
Melanie Martinez, Seven Nation Army (Team Adam)
It was nice to see her with a guitar. Now if we could just get her without a Mickey Mouse bow in her hair. I guess I liked this performance more than I’ve liked her others. It was a good song choice on Adam’s part. She needed to shake things up a bit and this was a decent try at that. I guess. Ha. B
